INET YSI Meeting & Round Table

The YSI Working Group on History of Economic Thought, in cooperation with P.H.A.R.E. and ESHET, is holding its first General Meeting on the day preceding the ESHET Conference, on the theme Being a Young Scholar in the History of Economic Thought.

Discussions will centre around the role, standing and situation of the history of economic thought at present and the aspirations of the next generation of scholars for the future of the discipline. The day will end with a Round Table discussion on The Role of the History of Economic Thought within and without economics with Margaret Schabas, André Lapidus and Joseph Halévi.

The round table is being held at 4 p.m. at Université Panthéon-Sorbonne. The whole meeting starts at 10 a.m. For day-long participation please register on the event page: lunch and dinner are free for participating (registered) young scholars.
